12 Sep 2007 - Money Munchers Big Launch

We are working with Southdown Infants School on our exciting new project aimed at encouraging children to save.

"Money Munchers" is funded by Quartet Community Foundation and is aimed at children aged 0-9 years. The launch was chosen to be filmed by Quartet and will be shown at their annual celebration.

Children who sign up to the project receive a special Money Munchers piggy bank to save their pocket money in. They can then bring them into school each Friday and deposit their savings into their Credit Union account. The children get a reward sticker each time they save, and receive a reward gift for regular saving.

We have had huge support from the Head Teacher, Sue Adams, the teachers, and the parents. This is a project that we are hoping to introduce into other schools in the B&NES area..
